You know what, I know that change is scary, whether it’s leaving a relationship that no longer serves you, or taking a leap in your career, or facing an unexpected life shift. The uncertainty can feel overwhelming, and the fear of the unknown, the self-doubt, the “what if I fail” thoughts—it’s exhausting, right? But what if you could just turn that chaos into clarity? And what if instead of resisting change, you could step into your power and use it as a catalyst for transformation?

So that’s exactly what we are diving into today. My guest, Nas Dela Rosa, is the founder and CEO of Nas de La Rosa Coaching and Consulting, a certified life and spiritual coach, and the host of the popular Third Eye Talks podcast. Before launching her coaching business in 2019, she spent over 16 years as a senior marketing professional in publishing, real estate, and the nonprofit world. She’s seen firsthand what it takes to navigate major transitions both personally and professionally, and she’s dedicated to helping women master change and reclaim their power. So if you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or afraid to take that next step, this episode is for you. Let’s break it down with Nas and uncover how to turn uncertainty into clarity and fear into empowerment.

Welcome to the show, Nas!

“Thank you so much, Dimple, for that wonderful introduction, and I’m so happy to be here and honored to be talking to your audience.”

I’m actually very excited to talk to you because—just so you know—she invited me to her podcast, we talked about Kundalini, and after that, I actually fell in love with her background, her beauty, and her inner beauty and soul. And I thought, who is this woman? I need to stalk her. So then I stalked her on Instagram and I was like, I need to bring her to our podcast! So, Nas, thank you so much for your time.

“Oh, I appreciate that and I’m so happy to be in the presence of a fellow stalker because that’s exactly what I do. Where do I find you and how do I get to know you? So I appreciate that. Thank you!”

I know that you’ve made major career shifts from senior marketing roles into coaching and then podcasting. What was the biggest challenge in navigating that change, and how did you find clarity in the chaos? Please tell our listeners.

“Yeah, so I definitely have had an affinity for creating change always, but I think that a lot of the changes that were happening to me, I was bringing them on but not knowing how to alchemize them. The hardest part of that process for me is always the releasing of the previous identity. You get comfortable with what you do, with the role that you have, with the titles that you have, with your day-to-day routine. And when you shake that up—either intentionally or it happens to manifest for you—like getting let go from a job, someone breaking up with you, or even reaching a goal and realizing, ‘I don’t even know if I want this anymore’—when you’re in those phases of change, I think the hardest thing is letting go of the identity and the attachment you have to that previous version of yourself.

That’s always really hard, and I really do believe that’s because we place a lot of our identity on outside factors—who we are, titles, possessions—rather than on our innate qualities that we can take from one role into the other forever.”

Wow, I love that. I feel like what you’re saying is spot on for me, even in my personal journey right now. Sometimes I struggle with, am I the yoga instructor I was years ago, or am I the spiritual coach? I keep battling this. I feel like our listeners will really value this because you have literally transitioned from one title to another, and now you’re a spiritual coach. This wasn’t on my list of questions, but I need to know—why did you choose this career? What was the reason before we go into our actual topic?

“Yeah, yeah, so this is, for me, the career of a lifetime. As you said, my background was in marketing, and when you’re in the world of marketing, a lot of your passion is about branding, right? What does the brand represent? Who does the brand serve? How does the brand shift with time and stay relevant?

During the pandemic, when I had two children under five, I had to leave my job—a really cushy position—because I was given the choice: either come back in person 100% of the time or leave. And one of my guiding principles is that my family comes first. If I stick to that, spirit is going to find a way to help me navigate it because I’m staying true to my core values. When I was up against that decision, I was talking to friends, and they said, ‘Nas, you’ve been a spiritual person your entire life, and you’re always guiding us.’ And it’s true.

My initial trade was in astrology—my mom was an astrologer, and I learned that craft really early. Our conversations as children were about energy, manifestation, astrology, numerology, and the power of numbers. But as it happens, you get on a ‘practical’ path—go to school, do something that fits in—and for me, that was marketing. But during the pandemic, a friend sent me a link about coaching, and I shared it with my husband, saying, ‘Did you know this was a thing?’ And he was like, ‘No, but it sounds like you.’

I took a course, and it was like—where has this been all my life? Then when I was training, one of my instructors said, ‘You know, spiritual coaching is a business. You can become a spiritual coach and teach people how to navigate change.’ And I was like, ‘What?! That’s a thing?’ And every time I find myself in those moments—where something just clicks—I know it’s the right path. I explored it further, became certified in spiritual coaching, and I have never looked back. I love coaching people through transitions using spirituality as a tool, and it’s completely opened up my world.”

Wow, thank you for sharing, and welcome to the family! That’s amazing. So, I know that as a coach, you help women make massive life changes, and you yourself have transitioned. What patterns do you see in those who successfully transform their lives versus those who stay stuck? Feel free to share your own story if you want to.

“I think the key difference is that those who successfully transform their lives don’t overthink it. They don’t try to map out every single step before taking action. They don’t need to know how they’re going to get from marketing director to spiritual coach and podcaster in one go. Instead, they focus on what they do know: ‘I know I’m not this anymore. So what’s my next step?’ They move step by step, following what lights them up, instead of getting overwhelmed with all the details.”

That makes so much sense. They don’t get caught up in all the details that can cause overwhelm. They just take the next step that feels right. Because when you focus on all the steps you think you need to take, you can easily talk yourself out of it before you’ve even started.

“Exactly! And this applies to everything—starting a business, switching careers, even launching a podcast. When I decided I wanted to try podcasting, I didn’t think about all the logistics—what mic to use, where to record, how to distribute it across platforms. I just asked myself, What’s the first step? So I Googled ‘How to start a podcast’ and followed that. Then I asked someone who already had a podcast, ‘How did you start?’ and learned from their experience. Step by step, I figured it out.

If I had stopped and thought, ‘Oh my gosh, launching a podcast is going to take forever, and I need all these things,’ I probably wouldn’t have done it. That’s how people get stuck. They think of everything that could go wrong instead of just taking the next logical step.”

That’s a great approach! I did the opposite—I paid someone to help me start my podcast because I thought I didn’t have the time to figure it all out. But that person turned out to be a scammer, and I lost $5,000. I should have done it the way you did!

“Oh no, I’m so sorry that happened! But that’s another approach too, right? If you find the right person, it can work. Unfortunately, in your case, it wasn’t the right fit.”

Exactly. So, let’s talk about women who want to start something but don’t even know where to begin. You mentioned earlier that it’s about what resonates with you. But for women who don’t even know what resonates with them, how can they figure that out?

“That’s such a great question. I truly believe that all of us are born with a spiritual assignment. But for the first half of our lives, we tend to ignore it. We try to fit into what’s considered ‘practical’ or ‘acceptable’ instead of just following what we naturally love to do.

Around our late 20s or early 30s—during our first Saturn return—we start questioning things. We start asking, What really makes me happy? Some people answer that call and follow what excites them. Others ignore it because it feels too risky.

But here’s the thing: Your spiritual assignment is always calling you. The question is, are you answering it or are you denying it?

One way to figure it out is to ask yourself: What brings me joy? What would I do for free if money wasn’t a concern? If you won the lottery and never had to work again, yes, you’d travel and buy nice things for a while. But after 10 years of that, what would you wake up and want to do every day? The answer to that question will tell you a lot about what truly resonates with you.”

That’s so powerful. And I love how you said that when people answer, they immediately talk themselves out of it. Like, Oh, I’d love to be an artist, but how do you make money with that? I’d love to be a healer, but is that even a real career?

“Exactly! And that’s where fear comes in. When we start talking ourselves out of what we really want to do, it’s usually because of fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of failure. Fear of stepping out of what feels safe. But the thing is, change always brings fear. You can’t avoid it.

The key is to move through the fear instead of letting it stop you. And that’s where core values come in.”

Ooh, I love core values. Tell me more—how do core values help with navigating change?

“I use core values as a guidance system. It’s like your inner GPS. You don’t have to make huge, drastic changes to shift your life. You just have to know what your core values are and make small daily decisions that align with them.

When you prioritize your core values in your day-to-day life, solutions start to show up that make your path clearer. Fear becomes less overwhelming because you’re walking in alignment with what truly matters to you.”

That makes total sense! Can you give us an example of how you use core values in your own life—maybe as a podcaster or a spiritual coach?

“Yes! One of my core values is efficiency. I like things that are quick, effective, and to the point. So when I started my podcast, I knew I didn’t want to do hour-long episodes. It wouldn’t be in alignment with my core values. That’s why my podcast episodes are short—30 minutes or less.

I also know that I like freedom. So I designed my coaching programs to be short-term—two to three months max—because that’s what works for me. I love micro-programs that last just two or three weeks.

When you know your core values, it’s easier to say yes or no to opportunities. If something doesn’t align with your values, it’s a no. And that’s how you remove chaos and bring in clarity.”

That’s so good. So, for someone who doesn’t know their core values, how can they figure them out?

“There are a few ways.

  1. ChatGPT Method: You can literally go to ChatGPT and type in things like, ‘I enjoy doing XYZ. My perfect day looks like this. These are the things I love.’ Then ask ChatGPT, ‘Based on this, what are my core values?’ It’ll generate a list for you, and you can see what resonates.
  2. Core Values List: Google a list of core values and see which words stand out to you. Intuitively, you’ll be drawn to certain ones.
  3. Reflect on a Happy Time in Your Life: Think about a time in your life when you were really happy. What were you doing? What kind of energy were you embodying? If you could describe that season of your life in one word, what would it be? That word is likely one of your core values.”

That’s such a great exercise. I was just thinking about a time when I was truly happy, and I realized it was when I was on stage dancing as a kid. And even now, when I dance, I feel alive.

“Yes! That tells me that one of your core values is likely creativity or expression. If you’re not incorporating creativity into your life, you might feel stuck or unhappy. This is why understanding core values is so powerful—it helps you recognize when you’re out of alignment.”

Wow, this is so insightful! And I know you practice spirituality, so I want to ask—how can spiritual practices help people turn chaos into clarity during big transitions?

“There are a few things that I recommend, especially for beginners:

  • Journaling – Writing down your thoughts can help clear mental clutter.
  • Scripting – This is journaling from the future version of yourself. Instead of writing ‘I hope I become a coach,’ you write ‘Today, I had an amazing session with my coaching clients and helped them break through their fears.’ It helps you embody that future reality.
  • Breathwork – This helps calm your nervous system and gets you out of fight-or-flight mode.
  • Work with a coach – Having someone reflect your thoughts back to you is incredibly powerful.”

That’s so good! I feel like we could do an entire episode on scripting alone.

“We totally should! I actually used scripting to manifest my husband. Instead of saying, ‘I hope I meet someone great,’ I would script as if it had already happened. I’d write, ‘Tonight, my husband and I had dinner and laughed so much. I feel so happy and loved.’ And sure enough, I met the exact kind of person I had been scripting about.”

That’s incredible! I love this conversation so much. Nas, where can our listeners find you?

“You can find everything on my website, NasDelaRosa.com, and I’m always on Instagram at @NasNJDeLaRosa. And of course, my podcast Third Eye Talks has new episodes every Wednesday!”
